033109 Tonight I watched the sunset in my room without having to look out the window: Two hours later the outdoors were still casting performances onto my wall. [...] A really low key weekend was essential this time. I stayed in both nights – Friday was a cozy home cooked meal and a movie with Rachel & my housemate Kristen. Last night I shuffled books and papers and applications and a long-distance phone call. I also made Kristen a cup of coffee and in [...] I used to detest white walls/white sheets/white in decor. Since moving into this new room, though, I’ve been trying to learn to appreciate it by exaggerating its presence within my surroundings. Helen used to tell me about the use of the color white in art presentation, contesting the idea that white means neutrality, objectivity, or [...] During my daily morning internet surf, I came across the flickr user lastleaf‘s photos. I enjoy looking at new art and designs everyday, but it’s not often that I have to stop everything else I’m doing and pay serious attention. His work is incredible. (Picture courtesy of fuck yeah puppies) First Breath After Coma – Explosions In The Sky [...] A few nights ago I went out for Indian food with some friends who came through town. Sharing meals is so heartwarming! Last weekend consisted of lots of dancing. This weekend, on the other hand, included lots of playing. And things like sitting around the kitchen bar until early morning, DIY contributions to The Wall Street Journal in the form of drawings of jellyfish and skulls, iced mochas, baking biscuits and rotating naps. I’m going to pretend [...] It was nice out today, if a bit on the chilly side. I went on a walk and photographed my neighborhood.
