I’ve been advised time and time again not to judge a book by its cover. But it’s so hard not to be seduced by a well designed book. Or a stack of them, for that matter.

I know what you mean. I adore books and a decent stack can also double as a great shelf, which is how I continue to justify my purchases.

When I was younger I used to go to the library pretty much every day, and the way I picked the books I wanted to read was by the cover! I can’t remember reading the summary on the back at all, it was pretty much “ooh, this one looks nice” and then I’d borrow it and read it.
Ach, I used to read so much. I really want to get into it again, but for some reason I’ve developed a fear of libraries and I can’t really afford to buy too many books. Sad!
