time is on your side but it goes by so fast

I might just be getting jaded, but things have seemed pretty stale these past couple of weeks. Nothing like channeling frustration into creative energy though, right? I’ve been reading & writing & photographing like you wouldn’t believe in hopes of keeping afloat. It does seem like I’ve made a lot of progress on a photo [...]

under i-95

If you’re in the greater Philadelphia region, you should seriously consider coming to Under I-95 this weekend, the yearly photo show by the ineffable Zoe Strauss (does the Whitney Biennial ring a bell?). This show will be incredible and I’m honored to have a role in it at all! You’ll see me working the table [...]

tell me at least six things you may or may not consider personal

Summer came to Philadelphia this weekend and I used up the last few frames on an old roll of film.

we live together in a photograph of time.

Helen and I have had some conversations about nostalgia lately. Perhaps due to the fact that we’re distanced from a number of our loved ones and in relatively new environments, still trying to get a hold of the respective learning curves they usher in. Just as much, we’ve recently been doing some minor travels to [...]

a reunion of long-distance friendships

Here are some pictures of Helen’s visit from Friday and Saturday. On Saturday we boarded a bus to New York City, where we saw Tristan and brought him a cupcake to say hello. #gallery-3 { margin: auto; } #gallery-3 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 100%; } #gallery-3 img { border: 2px [...]

home sweet home

Helen and I started our Saturday with large blueberry muffins and coffee, then hopped on a bus to New York City. The weather was atrocious in the I’m-going-to-blind-you-with-gusts-of-rain-and-invert-your-umbrella-while-I’m-at-it kind of way, but we remained unfazed. We met up with our friend Tristan, ate cupcakes, looked at books, and frolicked in spite of our soaked shoes [...]

We hovered a little above the earth. We even flew a little.

My best friend Helen came into town yesterday, and I’m delighted because she is one of the most beautiful and inspiring people I know. We also saw Jason and Julia, who was a wonderfully pleasant surprise (she gave me a cookie upon saying hello). Our day consisted of lounging in the park, eating sorbet&gelato, going [...]

revenge.

Someone throws stones at my roof, then hypocritically hides the quick hands that harmed me…                                  I have no stones, only fragrant fresh roses in my arbor, and yet -idiosyncratically- I also hide my hand after throwing roses.
