Last night’s Thanksgiving feast was epic. Having friends who are amazing chefs and an industrial kitchen certainly didn’t hurt. Our menu included: seitan turkey wild mushroom bisque cranberry sauce orange glazed yams mushroom & wild rice stuffing salad with cranberries, almonds and avocado vinaigrette rosemary garlic mashed potatoes gravy mulled cider wine & champagne quiche [...] …A tongue-in-chic name for the group show that a handful of my friends and I pulled together in the later half of this week. It was a huge success – at least 100 people came in the two hours it ran! Featured art included: Photographs by Amina Hassen, Arden Surdam, Yujean Park and Joanna Percher [...] I like the portraits below by Steven Beckly in his series little wolf: let’s make some memories. [...] I found these images while rummaging through old negatives yesterday. I took them during the summer and fall months of 2008: Albuquerque, NM Pittsburgh, PA Somewhere along the Rocky Mountains, NM New York, NY [...] I’ve shot and re-shot the following image a number of times, and I’m still not sure about it. It doesn’t ignite the exciting spark in my gut that I depend on to decide what to print and what to dismiss. What I have instead is a lingering need to keep visiting it and re-shooting it, [...] There are no words: What. I can’t even. What? Some work from the past week: For the most part, I feel like I’m on top of my responsibilities. There are some things that have been sidelined, though, like cleaning my room and responding to e-mails. It’s far from the end of the world.
