I arrived home yesterday after my original flight on Saturday was cancelled, but there’s no reason to unpack my suitcase because I’m going to Korea tomorrow. Self Control OS X (free) According to the website, …you could block access to your email, facebook, and twitter for 90 minutes, but still have access to the rest [...] The 50+ photography students gathered on Thursday to wrap up the semester, and they surprised me with an award! We organized and ran Art Walk last night, which was also incredibly fun and successful. Some of my work on display:Rose‘s pieces were among my favorites of the entire event.Then, the afterparty. It was a celebration [...] Really, really moving and beautiful images by Alec Soth below. I think this is my favorite style of work. [...] If you are in Oberlin or its surrounding areas, I highly encourage you to come to Art Walk tomorrow night. It’s the half-time show for the Senior Studio artists, and students from every studio art class will have things to show. I’ll have two photographs on display, but there will be work from all mediums [...] My photo class had its last critique tonight. I began writing to give fractional insight to how close knit our group is, but decided several paragraphs in that in spite of my most earnest sentiments, I’ll probably regret weeping all over the internet one day. This ending is bittersweet, and right now seems more melancholic [...] My photo class has been an incredibly tight-knit group for two years. It was Skylar’s birthday yesterday, so we piled into three cars and took her out. We visited the Cleveland Museum of Art, followed by dinner at an Indian restaurant.
