Yesterday continued my search for a birthday dress. Whereas I left empty-handed, my shopping partner Ellington couldn’t help but find magical pieces in each shop we visited. The synapses between stores included a trip to the flamingo dessert house and the animal shelter, where I immediately became attached to a sweet pit named Ellie [...] 
…Mom’s here! Or rather, she was here for part of yesterday. I took her to a cafe in Old City whose strong coffee I knew she’d appreciate & proceeded to talk her ears off for an hour. I’m lucky that she only lives a 2 hour drive away, so we get to see each other [...] An outfit from last week. It was hard to get a properly exposed photo because it was so sunny – not that I’m complaining! The temperature was cool enough to wear a light blazer, which cannot be said for this week.I’ve had & loved these shoes for years, but am only now beginning to wear [...] I came across the jewelry shop MIRTA on Etsy this morning. These handmade pieces are formed with extraordinarily simple and minimal shapes. Yep, pretty much in love with all of them. Once again, MIRTA jewelry. [...] I don’t remember the last time I bought a bathing suit, or even the last time I went swimming. That changed this afternoon! Just in time for the weekend & several summers ahead. This is what I look like today. I took these photos before scarfing down breakfast and running out the door. Sorry for the shoddy photo booth quality!I found this hat tucked away on a high shelf at Anthropologie last week and it’s hardly left my head since. It’s my very first summer hat.Dress, Zachary’s Smile [...] My friend Zeolite bore 5+ hours of traffic to come to Philly for the weekend. On her way over, she found out that she was selected for a 2-week arts residency in Helsinki this summer! We took Hugo for a walk, and celebrated afterwards at the tapas bar Valanni. He is so loving [...] My wardrobe never saw a yellow item until I bought a pair of flats in a pinch months ago. Since then, I’ve teetered into wearing it every once in awhile. The past few days in Philly have been dreary; if it hasn’t been raining, we’ve been under the constant threat of it. When the weather’s [...] Kathryn and I went to a thrift store yesterday & each left with enough merchandise to fill a large garbage bag. Here’s a sampling of our purchases. This weekend is a craft fair operated by Philly’s own Art Star Gallery & Boutique, and I look forward to showing what I get there, too! [...] |
