My photo class has been an incredibly tight-knit group for two years. It was Skylar’s birthday yesterday, so we piled into three cars and took her out. We visited the Cleveland Museum of Art, followed by dinner at an Indian restaurant. My present to her was a handmade flash card set of art & things [...] Last night’s Thanksgiving feast was epic. Having friends who are amazing chefs and an industrial kitchen certainly didn’t hurt. Cook 2. Clean 3. Eat doritos in bed and watch 30 Rock Earlier tonight I made so orzo salad (pictured below) and tofu salad. There is now hardly any room left in my refrigerator downstairs. But in all fairness, (and I guess since I already [...] This has been one of the busiest weeks I’ve had since I arrived – and arguably the most fun. Last Friday, Saul and I went to the monthly art show at Jinxed. It was Valentine’s Day-themed, and on the walls were heart-shaped canvases showing the works of 85+ artists. There was a party in the [...] I finally have an internship! Weeks of researching placements & interviews are now over, as I’ll be the new design intern at two.one.five magazine beginning Monday. SO EXCITED. My cooking adventures continue! Two dinners from this week: spinach penne with vegan cheesy sauce & roasted asparagus, and couscous with balsamic vinaigrette and lots [...] Tonight was the first night in ages I made eggplant that wasn’t overly salted and burnt crisply into the aluminum foiled pan. I made myself a sandwich with roasted yellow pepper, raw spinach, vegan mayonnaise and eggplant seasoned with salt, pepper, nutritional yeast, garlic and basil.
