As you may know, I went to Ohio last weekend. The class of 2011 graduated, and it was also my one year reunion. This return catalyzed the most lucid reflection on my first year out of college. It was an overwhelming and intense weekend, so several days after coming back to Philly, I’m still mulling [...] I returned from my reunion weekend this evening and have since been floating around my house in nostalgia. I managed to soak in good things like endless hugs and shared meals, an and evade the bad things, like sunburn and mosquito bites. Over the past couple of months, I’ve been finding myself cautiously but deliberately settling into a routine. It’s taken me awhile to arrive at the point where things no longer seem to be explicitly and wholly chaotic, so the predictability seems luxurious. But I’ve also been skipping town on a regular basis, which is working [...] You know what, October’s shaping up to be a really good month. [...] Some animals I managed to photograph in Europe: I’d really like to call this photo, “A Dog in Prague.” But I actually took this beauty’s photo in Dresden. Those eyes! Two others: I didn’t notice the similar composition between these two images until just now. [...] I finally had my film from my trip developed, and have begun the process of scanning and viewing pages upon pages of negatives. Here are five images as an early sampling, in order of the ones I like the least to the ones I like more. (I do like that [...] I’ve been traipsing around Germany and the Czech Republic for approximately two weeks now. I only brought my film camera on this trip, so I uploaded my mom’s pictures from her point & shoot. I’ll be back in the States on Tuesday! This pretty much sums up my central activity on this trip. I’ve [...] Another handful of photos from South Korea. I have an enormous amount of photographs scanned, and I must admit, I’m not being terribly picky about the ones I’ve been posting. I like some more than others, of course, and many of my favorites are still on my hard drive waiting to be printed and/or uploaded. [...] |
