My friend Meagan, also known as Wisdom Tooth, opened for the band Air Waves on Friday night. And yesterday, Skylar and I went diner hopping for so she could work on her photo project. It was refreshing to get out of town for awhile, even though I haven’t been here for that long yet. [...] Emily, my penpal of over a year and a good friend of Bobby’s, visited Philadelphia this weekend. I was too stubborn and shy, so she did it for me, and I ended up scoring publications from Poached Pack and New Asshole just by pouting at her. [...] This has been one of the busiest weeks I’ve had since I arrived – and arguably the most fun. Last Friday, Saul and I went to the monthly art show at Jinxed. It was Valentine’s Day-themed, and on the walls were heart-shaped canvases showing the works of 85+ artists. There was a party in the [...] I finally have an internship! Weeks of researching placements & interviews are now over, as I’ll be the new design intern at two.one.five magazine beginning Monday. SO EXCITED. My cooking adventures continue! Two dinners from this week: spinach penne with vegan cheesy sauce & roasted asparagus, and couscous with balsamic vinaigrette and lots [...] On the first friday of each month, the art galleries lining the streets of Old City stay open until late, serving free wine and cheese to the public. Another perk of this weekend was that my housemate Kristen’s dog, who lives at her other house (she splits her time between Philadelphia and elsewhere) stayed with [...] This week’s storm didn’t hit Philadelphia nearly has hard as other places, but it’s the wintriest I’ve seen this city so far.
